Adrian's Grand Prix (7th Birthday Celebration)

Seven years have passed when my son was born on a Friday, Oct 21, 2005. It was a regular pre-natal check-up so from the office I was rushing to the hospital. I felt a little pain in my big and heavy stomach, like minor cramps. I had difficulty getting a taxi from PBCOM so I chose to take a service going to Landmark. There I got a cab going to the hospital where Aldrin was waiting.  I was checked by Dra. Mortel and she said I have to be admitted since I'm 2cm, cannot afford to have labor because of the C-section. The scheduled Oct 26 delivery happened earlier so I was not able to bring the camera and the baby bag.  They have to go back to the house to get it.

Around 7pm, a bouncing 8.4 lbs baby boy, Adrian Christian was born, the biggest baby in the nursery at that time. Unlike my first born Aira, he was dark but very much healthy, cheeks were red and he was able to open his eyes quickly. The breastfeeding was hard, boys had huge milk intake unlike girls.  Now I got to compare. Thank God we have a pair, no more pregnancies after this. It's complete already.

I fell in love instantly the first time I laid my eyes on my son. Seven years have passed, it was years of fun, laughter and happiness.  Adrian never failed to amuse me, he has this great sense of humor, loves to tease me around like his Dad matched with his smiling and twinkling eyes..  He never failed to make me laugh. He is my true joy and I love him dearly.

Adrian is very responsible as a person. Very young as he is, he would really make sure he does all his assignments, he would only ask for help if he has projects but all of the assignments he would finish them on his own. His strength is Math & Computer, he needs more time to learn Filipino and vocabulary, he needs to know more about it.

I look forward to parties of my kids. We often do everything from the planning and execution, from the giveaways to the food carts, from the staging and dress up. Everything. If we have a choice, if Aldrin knows how to do the magic show. We wont source out anymore.  The principle is we should be able to throw the best party ever for our kids without spending a fortune on it.

The theme of the party was F1 Grand Prix.  Inspired by the how the F1 racing would be. I made sure we went close to what was happening in a grand prix from the colors, motif and terms used.
